Dyewood

Description

The world has lost its color. Four small critters are about to bring it back.

Dyewood is a cozy action game set on floating islands. A gray haze has swallowed the forest, and its residents have turned into the Dull: sad, colorless shadows of themselves. You lead a squad of four elemental critters: Ugolyok (fire), Kaplya (water), Iney (frost) and Iskra (lightning). Rescue the Dull and the world repaints itself around you: grass turns green, the sky clears, and a rainbow appears.

What's in the demo

• The first island, the Glade: wake up in a hollow tree and climb out into a gray world
• Find and recruit all four critters, each with their own personality
• Real-time combat: switch critters on the fly and combine elements (water + frost, fire + lightning…)
• Rescue 30 Dull and watch the island come back to life
• Campfires to rest at, the Rainbow Lanterns puzzle, the Color Statue, hidden rainbow drops
• A living sky: gray haze before, cartoon clouds, moon and rainbow after

Controls

Please note

• This is an early demo (version 0.10.6) of a game in active development.
• Menus, hints and HUD are in English. Story dialogue is in Russian for now; English dialogue is coming in the next update.
• Windows 10/11 64-bit, a DirectX 12 graphics card, ~700 MB disk space.

Dyewood — уютный экшен на парящих островах. Серая пелена накрыла лес, а его жители стали Тусклыми — грустными бесцветными тенями самих себя. Ведите отряд из четырёх зверьков-стихий: Уголёк (огонь), Капля (вода), Иней (мороз) и Искра (молния). Спасайте Тусклых, и мир раскрашивается вокруг вас: трава зеленеет, небо проясняется, появляется радуга.

В демо: первый остров Поляна; найдите и соберите всех четырёх зверьков; бой в реальном времени со сменой зверька и реакциями стихий; 30 Тусклых, которых нужно спасти; костры, головоломка «Радужные фонари», Статуя цвета, спрятанные радужные капли; живое небо.

Управление: WASD и мышь — движение и камера, Пробел — прыжок (двойной), ЛКМ — удар, E — навык, Q — ульта, ПКМ или короткий Shift — уклонение, зажатый Shift — бег, Tab — захват цели, 1–4 — смена зверька, F — отдых у костра, M — карта, Esc — пауза. Поддерживается геймпад.
